can i have a sunny weekend...please?

Okay, I'll admit it...I love PDX. I even love the rain but c'mon, how about a dry and sunny Saturday for once! All week the weather forecast for Saturday was sunny, then it changed to chance of showers in the afternoon.

So I figured a morning bike ride would be possible, but no, the rain started around 7:30am (in St. John's, at least). Looks like I'll be investing in some rainy-day cycling attire...I just wanna ride! SHEESH!!

Anyway, I couldn't stand staying home this morning and headed downtown for a stroll and some errands. Surprisingly it wasn't so rainy but still very gray.

A quiet Sunday bike ride

Took my first ride along the Peninsula Crossing bike path today. Rode about 25 miles and would have done more if it was a bit warmer.

Kelly Point Park was my turnaround point and I took a 4 mile detour into the Smith & Bybee Wildlife Refuge. This photo is taken along the Columbia Slough, the bridge in on Portland Road.
