lotsa critters here!

I've been to the Smith Bybee Lake wildlife park (or whatever it is officially called) a few times since moving to PDX and I'm gonna start a list of the critters that I've seen there. It's a huge green and watery preserve just a few minutes from the bungalow. My favorite cycling route skirts the park's edge and curves into the Northwestern edge.

According to the "Friends of Smith Bybee" website there are beaver, deer, turtles, heron....oh heck, take a look at the list yourself. Anyway, so far I've seen a few Heron and one Beaver (or at least a furry lump on a log that looked like a beaver). There are guided nature hikes in the park and I'm gonna check one out pretty soon.
